Penfield, New York – A long-standing community tradition is set to return this summer as the Town of Penfield prepares to host one of its most anticipated annual events. The 34th Annual Penfield Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday, June 15, bringing together local residents, organizations, and supporters for a full day centered on giving back.

The event, organized in collaboration with Penfield Rotary and the Penfield-Perinton Kiwanis, will take place at Shadow Lake Golf Club. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and community spirit, the tournament has grown over the years into more than just a day on the course—it has become a meaningful fundraiser supporting local nonprofit efforts.

Participants can expect a carefully planned schedule that blends recreation with social connection. The day will begin with lunch at 10:30 a.m., offering golfers a chance to gather and prepare before heading out. At 11:30 a.m., the tournament officially kicks off with a shotgun start, sending teams out across the course at the same time. As the afternoon winds down, players and guests will reconvene for dinner, expected to begin around 5:30 p.m., where stories from the course and community connections often take center stage.

While golf remains the main attraction, organizers are making it clear that participation is open to everyone. Those who prefer not to play can still be part of the event by attending the evening dinner. This option allows more people to contribute to the cause while enjoying the social aspect of the gathering.

Registration for the tournament is already underway, and interest is expected to build quickly in the coming weeks. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, giving local businesses and supporters another way to get involved while helping expand the event’s impact.

At its core, the tournament is about more than sport. Every dollar raised during the day will go toward supporting nonprofit organizations within the community, continuing a tradition of local giving that has defined the event for decades.

As June 15 approaches, the focus remains clear: a day of golf, connection, and community support—all coming together for a meaningful purpose.
