State Police and Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrest two suspects following a traffic stop in Wilton

New York – A routine traffic stop in Wilton, NY, led to the arrest of two individuals on March 10, 2025. State Police assigned to the Troop G Community Stabilization Unit, with assistance from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, took Jaheim T. Gadsen Marble, 37, of Schenectady, and Abel O. Garcia Romano, 28, of Albany, into custody on multiple charges.

According to authorities, the stop occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m. on Interstate 87. Troopers pulled over a vehicle for a suspected Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. Upon investigation, Garcia Romano was identified as the driver and Gadsen Marble as the passenger. Further examination of the situation, assisted by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit, led to the discovery of felony-weight narcotics hidden on Gadsen Marble. Law enforcement alleges that Garcia Romano was aware of the concealed drugs.

As a result, Gadsen Marble was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, along with Tampering with Physical Evidence and Conspiracy in the fourth degree. Garcia Romano was charged with Conspiracy in the fourth degree and cited for Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

Both individuals were transported to SP Wilton for processing. Garcia Romano was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear before the Wilton Town Court on April 8, 2025. Meanwhile, Gadsen Marble was arraigned at the Moreau Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident, emphasizing the importance of proactive traffic enforcement in uncovering illegal activity. The State Police urge anyone with further information regarding the case to come forward.
