Henrietta, New York – The Henrietta Town Board will hold several public hearings on Thursday, September 3, 2026, giving residents an opportunity to hear about and comment on several matters before the town.

The hearings are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and will cover three separate topics. The agenda includes a notice to perform work at 50 Faircrest Road, a proposed local law concerning data centers, and special use permit requests.

One of the hearings will address a notice to perform work at 50 Faircrest Road. Details of the matter are included in the legal notice released for the September 3 meeting.

The board will also continue its discussion of a proposed local law that would regulate the location and operation of data centers in Henrietta. The matter has previously been considered during Town Board meetings on July 22 and August 12 and will return for another public hearing on September 3.

Data centers have become an increasingly important local planning issue in communities where large facilities can affect land use, development and nearby properties. The proposed law would establish rules governing where such facilities can be located and how they operate, although residents are encouraged to review the official legal notice for the specific provisions under consideration.

The third group of hearings will concern special use permits. These hearings will give the Town Board an opportunity to consider applications requiring special approval under Henrietta’s land-use regulations.

Residents who want to follow the proceedings will have two options. Public participation will be available both in person and virtually, allowing people to attend remotely if they cannot be at the meeting.

Information about joining the meeting virtually is available through the Henrietta town website at www.henriettany.gov/wishyouwerehere. Residents can also contact the Town Clerk’s Office for information at [email protected] or 585-359-7035.

The town is also making arrangements for residents who need an American Sign Language interpreter. Anyone requiring ASL interpretation is asked to contact the Town Clerk’s Office using the same email address or phone number. Town officials note that requests made less than two business days before the meeting may result in the town being unable to schedule an interpreter.

The September 3 meeting will therefore give Henrietta residents several opportunities to take part in local government discussions, whether attending at Town Hall or participating online. Residents interested in the specific proposals are encouraged to review the corresponding public hearing legal notices before the meeting.
