Popular Pittsford café Root 31 preparing to move to larger new location with expanded dining options and menu choice
Rochester, New York – A familiar dining spot in Pittsford is getting ready for a major change as Root 31 Café & Eatery announced plans to relocate within Pittsford Plaza. The café will move into a larger space designed to offer customers expanded dining options, a bigger menu, and additional features aimed at improving the overall experience.
Root 31 said its new restaurant will be constructed behind Citizens Bank, approximately 400 yards away from its current location at 3349 Monroe Ave. The new space will sit between Shear Ego Salon & Spa and Elite Tailor Inc., keeping the café within the same shopping center where it has built a strong local following over the years.
While construction is underway, customers will still be able to visit the existing café. Root 31 confirmed that its current location will remain open during the building process, allowing the business to continue serving the community without interruption.
The café plans to officially open at the new location once construction is finished, although an exact opening date has not yet been announced. The business said it will provide updates about the project and share future announcements through its Facebook and Instagram pages.
The upcoming location will bring several changes, including a larger dining area and new service options. According to the café, the restaurant will feature full-service dining, a bar, and an enclosed patio where guests can enjoy their meals in a more comfortable setting.
Root 31 also plans to expand its food and drink offerings. The updated menu will include additional choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and beverages, giving customers more options throughout the day. The new location will also include more accessible parking, which the business expects will make visits easier and more convenient for guests.
Since opening at Pittsford Plaza in 2015, Root 31 has become a recognizable part of the local dining scene. The café is known for using locally sourced ingredients and serving a menu that includes popular items such as salads, sandwiches, and pizzas.
Over the years, the restaurant has developed a reputation as a community gathering place where customers can enjoy fresh food in a casual setting. The planned move represents an opportunity for the business to grow while remaining in the same area where it has established its customer base.
The relocation comes as Root 31 looks to create more space for both guests and future menu offerings. By moving into a larger facility, the café hopes to provide a more complete dining experience while continuing the approach that has helped it become a fixture at Pittsford Plaza.
For customers looking forward to the transition, Root 31 will continue sharing construction progress and other details as the project moves forward. The company said additional information, including the official opening date for the new location, will be announced once plans are finalized.
