Rochester, New York – A familiar face at Andrew Langston Middle School will soon take on the school’s top leadership role.

Superintendent Dr. Eric Jay Rosser has announced the appointment of Ajoua Jackson as the next principal of Andrew Langston Middle School. Her new position will officially begin on July 1, 2026, marking the start of a new chapter for both Jackson and the school community she has already been serving.

Jackson currently works as assistant principal at Andrew Langston Middle School, giving her firsthand knowledge of the school’s students, staff, and daily operations. Her promotion follows years of service within the Rochester City School District, where she has built a reputation as a dedicated educator and leader focused on student success.

Throughout her career, Jackson has held a wide range of instructional and administrative positions. Prior to joining the leadership team at Andrew Langston, she served as Coordinating Administrator of Special Education for the Youth and Justice Program. Education has been a cornerstone of Jackson’s professional journey.
