Henrietta, New York – Garden lovers in Henrietta, New York will soon have a chance to refresh their yards, gardens, and patios as the Henrietta Garden Club prepares for its annual community plant sale. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, beginning at 9:00 a.m., and will take place at Tinker Nature Park. Organizers say the sale will continue until all plants are sold, which in past years has happened quickly as eager gardeners arrive early to browse the wide selection.

Each spring, the plant sale draws residents from across the area who are searching for unique plants and affordable additions to their gardens. This year’s event promises a particularly broad range of choices. Visitors will find hundreds of plant varieties available, including colorful annuals, hardy perennials, decorative ornamentals, and even edible plants that can thrive in backyard gardens or containers.

Many of the plants offered at the sale have been carefully prepared by club members themselves. Others come from generous contributions by local gardeners who donate plants from their own landscapes. The result is a diverse collection of greenery that reflects the community’s shared passion for gardening.

Organizers describe the selection in simple terms that appeal to beginners and experienced gardeners alike: “Hundreds of varieties, from annuals to perennials, ornamentals to edibles, indoor, outdoor, something for everyone. Propagated by our club members, donated by gardeners like you, dug and divided from your neighbor’s beautiful landscapes, all potted and ready to be your next must-have plant finds!”

In addition to plants, visitors will also be able to browse a special “New To You” sale, offering a wide assortment of gently used gardening tools and supplies. The sale will feature items such as planters, pots, gardening equipment, and decorative pieces for outdoor spaces.

Club members say the additional sale often attracts strong interest because it gives gardeners a chance to pick up useful items at lower prices while supporting a local community organization.

As organizers explain, “We’re also holding a ‘New To You’ sale with slightly used tools, plant and gardening supplies, pots, and gear, even bird feeders and houses. It is sure to attract lots of interest!”
