Penfield Trails Committee invites the public to enjoy a free scenic hike through Lucien Morin Park this July

Penfield, New York – Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to join the Penfield Trails Committee for a free guided hike through the scenic beauty of Lucien Morin Park on Saturday, July 12. The hike will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m., starting from the gravel parking lot located next to Bar Bill. Hikers are encouraged to look for the posted signs to find the meeting point.
This month’s trek will lead participants through lush terrain featuring vibrant wildflowers, dense ferns, and sweeping views of the Irondequoit wetlands. One of the highlights of the hike includes exploring the remnants of historic rifle target pits, offering a unique glimpse into the area’s past.
The trail does include some hills and may present narrow and slippery sections, especially if there has been rain. Hikers are advised to wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for changing conditions underfoot.
