New York State Police request public assistance to identify vehicle involved in hit-and-run investigation
Greenburgh, New York – Authorities are searching for answers after a tragic hit-and-run incident in Greenburgh left a pedestrian in critical condition. The New York State Police are actively investigating the case and are urging the public to come forward with any information that might lead to the identification of the vehicle involved.
The incident took place on April 2, 2025, around 8:00 p.m. on the Exit 5 deceleration ramp of I-287 East. A pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle, which fled the scene without stopping. The victim suffered a traumatic brain injury and remains in critical condition, leaving investigators determined to find those responsible.
State Police are seeking the assistance of anyone who may have witnessed the accident or who might have information about the suspect vehicle. “If you saw anything unusual at that time and location, or if you have any dashcam footage that could be helpful, please come forward,” authorities urged. Even small details could play a crucial role in identifying the driver.
