Monroe County, New York – Taxpayers in Monroe County are urged to finalize their payments as the 3rd installment deadline for the 2025 Combined Town and County Tax Bill approaches. Monday, March 31st marks the last opportunity to make a payment with a 3% interest charge before additional penalties may apply.

For those who have yet to submit their payments, multiple options are available to ensure a smooth and timely transaction. The Town Clerk’s Office remains open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing in-person assistance for those preferring to pay directly.

In an effort to accommodate last-minute taxpayers, payments placed in the designated drop box before 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1st will still be considered on time. “Not an April Fool’s joke!” officials assure residents. Additionally, mailed payments postmarked by March 31st will be honored, though taxpayers should be cautious to use official U.S. postmarks rather than postage meter stamps, which are not accepted.

For a convenient and hassle-free experience, taxpayers also have the option to pay online. As long as the transaction is completed before midnight on March 31st, no additional interest will be applied. However, an extra convenience fee will be charged for online payments. More details and online payment options are available at www.monroecounty.gov.
