Town of Penfield announces the return of weekday brush drop-off service starting March 31

Penfield, New York – Penfield residents looking to clear their yards of fallen branches and limbs will soon be able to take advantage of the town’s weekday brush drop-off service. Beginning Monday, March 31, the seasonal program will resume, offering a convenient way to dispose of yard waste throughout the week.
The drop-off site, located at 2143 Gloria Drive, will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Residents can bring in natural debris such as branches, limbs, sticks, bushes, and logs. However, certain materials will not be accepted, including stumps, leaves, grass clippings, concrete, or any other non-organic waste.
This service is available exclusively to Town of Penfield residents, and proof of residency will be required upon arrival. To maintain efficiency and fairness, dump trucks and contractor drop-offs are strictly prohibited.
For those who are unavailable during the week, the town has also scheduled several Saturday brush drop-off events. The first will take place on April 12, with additional dates set for May 10, June 14, July 12, August 9, September 27, October 18, and November 8. These Saturday drop-offs will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., ensuring more flexibility for residents managing their yard maintenance.
To make it easier for residents to find the drop-off location, digital maps are available via Apple Maps and Google Maps. For any questions or further details, residents can contact the Penfield Department of Public Works at (585) 340-8710.
With the arrival of spring, this program provides an essential service for homeowners eager to tidy up their properties after winter. Whether dropping off brush during the week or taking advantage of the Saturday events, Penfield residents have multiple opportunities to keep their yards clean and clutter-free.
