Padilla High School JROTC cadets present colors at Boston Celtics game

Rochester, New York – Four outstanding cadets from Padilla High School’s Junior ROTC program had the honor of presenting the Nation’s colors at TD Garden during the Boston Celtics vs. Denver Nuggets game on March 2, 2025. The all-female color guard team showcased their discipline, precision, and leadership in front of thousands of spectators, making the moment even more significant as it coincided with Women’s History Month.

The cadets—Zerenity Clarke, Nadia Dinkins, Honesty Babers, and Coreyeana Lloyd—represented their school with pride, standing tall as they carried out their duties. Their participation was a testament to their dedication to the JROTC program and the values it instills. Accompanying them were Army Instructor Master Sergeant (MSG) Eric Meister and chaperone Debra MacPherson, who provided guidance and support throughout the event.
Beyond the honor of performing at the game, the students made the most of their visit to Boston. They explored the city’s rich history by walking the iconic Freedom Trail, gaining a deeper appreciation for the country’s past. The highlight of their trip, aside from their performance, was a special lunch in the Celtics’ exclusive team room—an experience they will likely never forget.

This prestigious opportunity is just one of many for the dedicated JROTC cadets at Padilla High School. Over the years, the program’s students have performed at major sporting events, including NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB games, as well as NASCAR races. Their continued excellence is a reflection of their commitment to discipline, teamwork, and leadership.
