Authorities seek help to identify woman involved in identity theft case

Lowville, New York – State Police in Lowville are turning to the public for assistance in identifying a woman suspected of identity theft. Authorities say the suspect fraudulently withdrew $3,200 from a victim’s bank account at the Northern Federal Credit Union in Croghan, NY.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect impersonating another individual to complete the transaction. According to police reports, the woman used a driver’s license in the victim’s name to successfully withdraw the funds. The fraudulent act has prompted law enforcement to seek help in locating the individual responsible.
