Henrietta Fire District schedules public hearing on proposed 2027 budget for October 20

Henrietta, New York – The Henrietta Fire District will hold a public hearing next month to give residents an opportunity to review and comment on the district’s proposed 2027 budget.

The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. It will take place at Henrietta Fire District Station No. 4, located at 850 Bailey Road in West Henrietta.

The Board of Fire Commissioners will use the meeting to discuss the contents of the proposed budget with members of the public. Residents and other interested individuals will be able to speak about the proposal, including whether they support or oppose the budget as a whole or have concerns about specific items included in it.

The public hearing is part of the district’s budget process and is intended to give community members a chance to hear more about the spending plan before it moves forward.

People who cannot attend the hearing in person will also have the option of joining remotely. The district will provide access through Google Meet, allowing residents to participate online. The meeting can also be accessed by telephone for those who prefer to join by phone.

The district has made the proposed budget available for public inspection before the hearing. A copy can be reviewed at the office of the Henrietta Fire District Secretary/Treasurer at Station No. 4 on Bailey Road.

Copies are also available at the Town Clerk’s office for the Town of Henrietta, located at 475 Calkins Road in Henrietta, and at the Town of Brighton offices at 2300 Elmwood Avenue in Rochester.

The documents can be inspected during regular office hours, which are listed as 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Interested members of the public can review the proposal ahead of the hearing and raise questions or concerns about specific parts of the spending plan during the meeting.

The proposed 2027 budget is also available through the Henrietta Fire District’s website, giving residents another way to review the document without visiting one of the offices in person.

The hearing notice applies to the Henrietta Fire District in the Town of Henrietta, Monroe County. The Board of Fire Commissioners is responsible for presenting the proposed spending plan and receiving public input during the scheduled hearing.
