International Plaza to launch new monthly happy hour series featuring music food and community events beginning June 25
Rochester, New York – Residents of Rochester will soon have a new way to unwind after work as the International Plaza prepares to launch a recurring Happy Hour series designed to bring people together through music, food, and culture.
The first event in the new monthly program is scheduled for Thursday, June 25, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the International Plaza, located at 828 North Clinton Avenue. Organizers say the evening will feature a lively atmosphere with special food and drink offerings alongside live entertainment, creating a welcoming gathering space for neighbors, families, and visitors alike.
Helping kick off the series will be Frankie’s Latin Jazz Trio, whose performance is expected to add a vibrant soundtrack to the evening. The combination of live music and local culinary offerings aims to provide a relaxed setting where guests can enjoy a summer night while connecting with the community.
The Happy Hour series is not intended to be a one-time event. Following the June gathering, additional evenings are already planned throughout the remainder of the summer and into early fall. Future events will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on July 30, Aug. 27, and Sept. 24.
For years, the International Plaza has served as a central gathering place within Rochester’s Northeast neighborhoods. The venue has become known for celebrating the city’s diverse cultural heritage, particularly the traditions, food, and artistic contributions of immigrant and Latino communities. Through events, performances, and culinary experiences, the Plaza continues to showcase the important role these communities play in Rochester’s social and economic life.
The new Happy Hour series builds upon that mission by creating additional opportunities for residents to experience local culture in an informal and family-friendly environment. Organizers hope the events will encourage people from across the city to visit the Plaza, discover local vendors, and enjoy an evening of entertainment.
Those interested in becoming vendors still have an opportunity to participate. Tent spaces remain available, with rental rates beginning at $20 per event, making the program an accessible option for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and community organizations looking to reach new audiences.
Visitors planning to attend are encouraged to consider alternative transportation options when possible. While the Plaza offers a small on-site parking lot, organizers recommend carpooling, walking, cycling, or using public transit to help accommodate attendance and reduce congestion.
Additional information about vending opportunities, event details, and future programming is available through the International Plaza’s official channels. Community members can also stay informed about upcoming activities and announcements by following the Plaza on social media.
As summer gets underway, the new Happy Hour series promises to add another layer of energy to one of Rochester’s most celebrated community spaces, offering an inviting blend of music, food, and cultural connection throughout the season.
