Webster, New York – The Town of Webster marked the start of the new year with a formal swearing-in ceremony that welcomed four officials into town leadership roles. The event took place Friday, January 2, 2026, ahead of the town’s annual Organizational meeting and set the tone for the year ahead in local government.

During the ceremony, Alex Scialdone was sworn in as Webster Town Supervisor, while Nick Hunter and Garrett Wagner officially assumed their roles as Town Councilmembers. Tom DiSalvo was also sworn in, continuing his long-standing service as Webster Town Justice. Family members, town staff, and local officials were present as each took the oath of office.

Scialdone begins his first term as Town Supervisor, bringing with him decades of experience in organizational management from the private sector. A longtime resident of Webster, he steps into the role with a one-year term, positioning himself at the center of town operations during a period of transition and planning. His appointment reflects a blend of professional leadership experience and deep local ties.

“Being elected to serve the Town of Webster is truly an honor,” said Scialdone. “I am excited to work with Town officials, residents, and local organizations and businesses to keep Webster a vibrant and united community. My family is proud to call Webster our home, and it is a privilege to give back in a role that allows me to listen, lead, and stand up for every corner of our Town.”

Town Justice Tom DiSalvo brings continuity to the lineup of sworn-in officials. He has served the Town of Webster in that judicial role since 2001, making this latest swearing-in another chapter in more than two decades of service. His ongoing presence offers stability within the town’s court system.

For Councilmembers Hunter and Wagner, the ceremony marked the beginning of their first terms in town office. As newcomers to the Town Board, both are expected to take part in shaping policy decisions and representing residents’ interests alongside more experienced officials. Their addition signals a mix of new perspectives and established leadership within town government.

Looking ahead, the Town of Webster has adjusted its January meeting schedule due to the New Year’s Day holiday. Town Board meetings are set for January 8 and January 22. Beginning in February, the board will return to its regular schedule, meeting on the first and third Thursday of each month.

With the swearing-in complete, town officials now turn their focus to the work ahead, aiming to guide Webster through the coming year with collaboration, community engagement, and steady leadership.
