Monroe County Executive Adam Bello announces the 2025 holiday concert series featuring local student musicians and festive performances

Monroe County, New York – Monroe County is ready to usher in the holiday season with music, lights, and community cheer as County Executive Adam Bello announced the 2025 Holiday Concert Series. The annual celebration begins on December 2 with a festive tree-lighting ceremony accompanied by a performance from the Wheatland-Chili High School Concert Band. The kickoff event takes place at noon in the Monroe County Office Building Atrium, marking the start of nearly three weeks of daily holiday performances.

“This building truly comes alive in December with beautiful lights, festive music, and holiday cheer,” said Monroe County Executive Adam Bello. “I welcome residents to attend the free lunchtime performances that showcase the joy and talent of our local students.”

The series, held at the Monroe County Office Building located at 39 West Main Street, is designed to highlight the artistic talents of students across the region. Performances typically begin at noon, with the exception of December 11, which is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. The lineup features a diverse selection of bands, choirs, and ensembles representing both high schools and elementary schools, providing something for audiences of all ages.

The schedule begins with the Wheatland-Chili High School Concert Band on December 2, followed by the Spencerport High School Jazz Ensemble on December 3. On December 5, attendees can enjoy the Irondequoit High School Vocal Jazz Ensemble and Vocal Jazz Chorus, while December 8 features the Anna Murray-Douglass Academy School #12 Elementary Handbell Choir. The School of the Arts High School Jazz Band takes the stage on December 10, and the Brockport High School Jazz Band performs on December 11 at 12:30 p.m.

The musical journey continues with the School of the Arts High School Select Choir and Orchestra on December 12, Fairport Martha Brown Middle School Mixed Chorus on December 15, and Abraham Lincoln School No. 22 Elementary Mixed Chorus on December 16. The Gates-Chili High School Show Choir is set to perform on December 17, and the series concludes on December 19 with performances from the East Rochester High School Jazz Band and Select Choir.

The Monroe County Executive Holiday Concert Series is open to the public free of charge, allowing residents to experience a variety of musical styles in a festive, family-friendly setting. Those unable to attend in person can still enjoy the performances, as all events will be streamed live on the Monroe County Facebook page. This approach ensures that everyone in the community can participate, whether they are near the county building or following along from home.
