Penfield, New York – Penfield residents with a passion for local history now have an opportunity to get involved in preserving the town’s architectural and cultural heritage. Supervisor Jeff Leenhouts announced that the Town of Penfield is currently seeking applicants to fill vacancies on the Historic Preservation Board, a volunteer body responsible for helping protect and promote the community’s historic character.

Interested residents are encouraged to submit a resume and a brief letter of interest highlighting their background and qualifications. Applications should be sent via email to [email protected] no later than Friday, November 7.

The Historic Preservation Board plays a key role in identifying and maintaining buildings and sites of historical value throughout Penfield. Members review proposals related to restoration, renovation, and development in areas designated as historic, ensuring that the town’s past remains an active part of its future growth.
