Pittsford, New York – The Village of Pittsford is gearing up for one of its most popular community celebrations. On Saturday, September 13, Main Street will be transformed into a lively festival space as the Pittsford Food Truck and Music Fest returns with a full lineup of entertainment, family activities, and the crowd-favorite Pittsford Youth Services (PYS) Duck Drop.

The event runs from noon until 9:00 p.m., filling the heart of the village with the sounds of live music, the aroma of food truck specialties, and the energy of families and visitors enjoying the day. The festival is known for its combination of local charm and big-event excitement, and this year’s schedule promises to deliver both.

A wide range of food vendors will line South Main Street, serving everything from creative street food to classic festival treats. Alongside the food options, a wine and beer garden will provide a space for adults to relax while taking in the music and activities. Families will find no shortage of things to do, with amusement rides, children’s entertainment, shopping opportunities from village merchants, and plenty of interactive fun throughout the afternoon.

Music has always been central to the festival’s atmosphere, and the 2025 lineup offers something for every taste. Six String Sax will open the day at noon, blending rock, jazz, Latin, and reggae styles. At 1:30 p.m., Paul Strowe will take the stage with a setlist ranging from late 1950s classics through the mid-1980s. The afternoon will continue with Hey Mabel at 3:00 p.m., offering a mix of pop and blues rock favorites.

The day’s signature moment comes at 4:30 p.m., when hundreds of rubber ducks splash into the Erie Canal at Carpenter Park during the PYS Duck Drop. The annual derby raises funds to support youth programs in the Pittsford community and has become one of the festival’s most memorable traditions.

Live music will resume at 5:00 p.m. with Big Eyed Phish, a nationally known Dave Matthews tribute band that has been a hit with local audiences in past years. Closing out the evening will be the M80s, delivering a high-energy set of 1980s classics from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Festivalgoers are encouraged to stick around after the final notes, as the day will end with a fireworks show over the village. The display is scheduled to begin around 9:00 p.m., immediately following the M80s’ performance, ensuring the event finishes with a memorable finale.

Event organizers have also issued a reminder for those planning to view the Duck Drop at the Port of Pittsford. Boat docking in the designated viewing area of the canal will not be allowed from noon to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Parking maps and full details are available online to help visitors plan their day and navigate the busy village streets.
