Henrietta Town Board will host a public hearing on July 23 to gather comments about a special use permit application for Swervin’s Fab Haüs

Henrietta, New York – The Town of Henrietta is inviting the public to weigh in on a proposed special use permit during its upcoming board meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, 2025. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will include a public hearing to discuss an application submitted by Swervin’s Fab Haüs, a vehicle welding and fabrication business.
Swervin’s Fab Haüs, located at 350 Commerce Drive, is seeking approval to operate a vehicle welding, fabrication, and repair facility with a focus on research and development of performance parts. The site falls within an Industrial Zoned District and is also part of a Mixed Use Redevelopment Area Overlay District (MURA). The application is officially filed as No. 2025-022.
According to the town, “The purpose of the hearing is to hear any comments with regards to the following Application for a Special Use Permit.” Town residents, business owners, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts, concerns, or support for the proposed business.
The public hearing will be held as part of the Town Board’s regular meeting and will be accessible both in person and virtually. Those who prefer to participate online can find instructions and links at www.henrietta.org/wishyouwerehere. Anyone with questions about participating—or requiring assistance such as an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter—is asked to contact the Town Clerk’s Office at [email protected] or by calling (585) 359-7035.
“If an ASL interpreter is needed for this meeting, please contact the Town Clerk’s Office by the above means – requests made less than two business days prior to the meeting may result in us being unable to schedule an interpreter.”
Plans and further details about the application are available for public viewing online at www.henrietta.org/projects or can be reviewed in person at the Town Clerk’s Office. The application’s associated tax account is listed as No. 161.10-1-2.
Swervin’s Fab Haüs proposes to bring advanced automotive services to Henrietta, focusing not only on repair work but also on innovation in high-performance vehicle parts. If approved, the facility would contribute to the town’s industrial development while operating under the oversight of zoning and redevelopment guidelines specific to the area.
The Town Board will take all public input into account before making a final decision on the permit. Those interested in local development and zoning matters are encouraged to attend and participate in this important community conversation.
