Greece Town Court to unveil commemorative plaque during special ceremony honoring local civic service

Greece, New York – A special unveiling ceremony is set to take place this Thursday at the Greece Town Court, where local officials and community members will gather to celebrate a meaningful addition to the courthouse. Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich, together with the Greece Town Board, will lead the event.
The ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. on June 26, 2025, at the Greece Town Court, located at 4 Vince Tofany Boulevard in Greece, New York. It is expected to draw local leaders, court staff, and residents who want to recognize the significance of the courthouse in the town’s civic life.
While the town has not publicly revealed the full details of the plaque, the event is designed to mark a symbolic moment that connects the court’s role in justice with the town’s broader commitment to public service and historical remembrance.
“This plaque unveiling represents an important recognition of the Greece Town Court’s legacy and the individuals who have served this community through the legal system,” said a spokesperson from the town.
Supervisor Reilich and members of the Town Board have emphasized the importance of civic institutions and the role they play in maintaining public trust and accountability. The ceremony is expected to highlight these themes while also honoring the space where thousands of local cases are heard each year.

Town officials invite residents to attend the event as a way of strengthening the relationship between the public and local government. The Greece Town Court has long served as a vital hub for legal proceedings and community resolution, making it a fitting location for such a commemorative gesture.
Further details may be shared during the event itself, and those who attend will be among the first to view the newly unveiled plaque that will become a permanent fixture at the courthouse.
The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
