Pittsford, New York – The rhythm of summer is about to return to the canal as the Town of Pittsford’s beloved Summer Concert Series begins this Friday, June 6, at Carpenter Park at the Port of Pittsford. Starting at 6:30 p.m., the season’s first performance will feature the talented student musicians of the Pittsford Mendon and Sutherland Jazz Ensembles.

As always, the concerts are completely free and open to the public, offering a family-friendly way to enjoy warm summer evenings by the water. Organizers are inviting everyone to bring a blanket or lawn chair, settle in, and enjoy an impressive lineup of local musical talent that will stretch through the end of August.

“There’s something special about live music on a summer night by the canal,” said a town spokesperson. “With the mix of jazz, rock, country, and tribute acts, this year’s series has something for everyone.”
