Woman thrown from motorcycle after crash involving car and SUV in busy Mattydale intersection

Salina, New York – A routine afternoon turned chaotic in Mattydale on Friday when a collision involving a pickup truck, motorcycle, and SUV sent a young woman to the hospital with serious injuries.
At exactly 2:59 p.m. on May 30, New York State Police were dispatched to the busy intersection of Factory Avenue and Lemoyne Avenue in the town of Salina. What they found was a violent crash scene that began with a red light violation.
According to investigators, Rickey Belcamino, 67, of Syracuse, was behind the wheel of a 2004 Dodge pickup truck traveling southbound on Factory Avenue. Authorities say Belcamino ran the red light at the intersection, colliding directly with a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was heading west on Lemoyne Avenue.
The motorcycle was operated by 35-year-old Michael Lembo, also from Syracuse. Riding with Lembo was 23-year-old Rebecca Woodcock. The force of the crash threw Woodcock from the motorcycle, hurling her into a nearby 2018 Dodge SUV that had been stopped at the light. That SUV was being driven by Gregory Pacicca, 71, of Solvay.
Woodcock was found unconscious at the scene. Emergency responders quickly transported her by ambulance to Upstate Hospital. No further information about her condition has been released as of Friday evening.
No injuries were reported for Lembo, Belcamino, or Pacicca.
Troopers confirmed that Belcamino was issued a traffic ticket for “Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.” The investigation remains ongoing, but no additional charges have been announced at this time.

The intersection was briefly shut down to clear debris and assist emergency crews, causing some traffic delays for drivers in the area.
This crash is a stark reminder of the dangers of intersection collisions, especially when traffic signals are ignored. Authorities continue to urge drivers to obey traffic laws and remain vigilant, particularly in heavily trafficked areas like Factory and Lemoyne Avenues.
Police have not commented on whether speed or impairment played a role in the crash.
Further updates on Woodcock’s condition are expected as more information becomes available.
