Parish, New York – A tragic accident took place on the afternoon of May 25 in the quiet village of Parish, Oswego County, leaving one man dead after a motorcycle crash on North Railroad Street.

According to the New York State Police, the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when the motorcyclist, who was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson, lost control of the bike while navigating a curve in the road. Investigators say the rider was unable to manage the turn, causing him to veer off the pavement and collide first with a building and then with a utility pole.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and transported the man by ambulance to Upstate Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.

“Preliminary investigation reveals the operator was traveling on North Railroad Street on a 2014 Harley Davidson when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and struck a building, then a utility pole.”

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the rider, pending family notification. The crash site, a typically calm stretch of road in the heart of Parish, drew the attention of local residents, some of whom expressed concern over the road’s safety and visibility.

No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the crash. Investigators remained on the scene for several hours after the collision, examining skid marks and vehicle damage to piece together the final moments before the accident.
