Rochester, New York – Across continents and time zones, the Rochester Institute of Technology’s global campuses are proudly honoring a new generation of graduates. This spring, more than 650 students from RIT’s international locations are donning their caps and gowns as they prepare to join a global network of over 150,000 alumni.

From the Silicon Oasis in Dubai to the historic cities of Zagreb and Dubrovnik, and the vibrant academic community of Kosovo, each commencement marks a unique moment of achievement. These ceremonies not only celebrate the academic accomplishments of the Class of 2025 but also reflect the expanding reach and impact of RIT’s global education model.

“Congratulations to all our students receiving diplomas this spring,” said James Myers, associate provost for International Education and Global Programs. “The growing number of graduates at our global campuses is a testament to RIT’s reputation on the world stage.”

One of the most anticipated events this year is RIT Kosovo’s commencement on May 21. The ceremony will feature Drena Kusari Berisha, a distinguished tech leader and Harvard Business School graduate, as the honorary commencement speaker. Kusari Berisha currently serves as vice president and general manager at Microsoft and has previously held leadership roles at global companies like Goldman Sachs, Lyft, and Bumble.

Her address will take place before a graduating class of nearly 150 students. With her diverse background and high-profile career, Kusari Berisha embodies the kind of success and international influence many RIT students aspire to achieve.

At RIT Dubai, the excitement is twofold. Over 300 students will graduate on May 20, as the campus celebrates not just academic success, but also physical expansion. The Dubai location is undergoing the second phase of its construction plan, which, once completed in 2027, will allow the campus to accommodate up to 4,000 students.

This growth mirrors RIT Dubai’s rising presence in the Middle East, as it positions itself as a key player in the region’s innovation and education sectors.

In Croatia, nearly 200 graduates will be recognized at two separate ceremonies: May 22 in Zagreb and May 24 in Dubrovnik. These events highlight the university’s commitment to offering an American-style education in diverse European settings, with programs tailored to meet local and international career needs.

Altogether, the global campus graduates are part of the broader RIT Class of 2025, which includes over 4,800 students earning degrees across all levels. These graduates now become part of a worldwide alumni network that spans industries, countries, and cultures.

Their achievements reflect not just personal determination, but also the strength of RIT’s commitment to international education. As these students prepare to enter the workforce or continue their academic journeys, they carry with them the values and vision of a truly global university.
