The Penfield Recreation Department has officially announced that summer program registration will begin Monday, May 12 for town residents, with non-resident registration opening one week later on Monday, May 19.
This year’s summer lineup is packed with energy, excitement, and plenty of new opportunities for residents of all ages to stay active and engaged. From creative camps for kids to wellness classes for adults, Penfield Recreation is promising a season filled with fun, learning, and connection.
“Summer Registration begins May 12!” officials stated, encouraging locals to plan ahead and secure their spots early.

Among the most anticipated programs this season are fresh additions like Teen Garden Squad, where teens can get their hands dirty while learning about sustainable gardening. There’s also Summer Circuits Camp – Cosmobotic Chaos, a futuristic-themed program that blends STEM and fun. For the more physically adventurous, Warrior Camp, Kayaking for Kids, and Intro to Whitewater Kayaking are back and better than ever.
Families with younger children can explore swim-focused sessions like Guppy with Buddy, while individuals looking to stay active indoors can join group fitness favorites like Zumba and Oula Dance Fitness. Of course, the list wouldn’t be complete without the beloved DEAR offerings—Diverse Enrichment and Recreation programs—covering everything from art to fitness to family fun.
With demand expected to be high, town officials are urging residents to register early and make the most of what promises to be a vibrant and unforgettable summer in Penfield.
