Rochester, New York – In a bold step to connect more job seekers with quality employment opportunities across the region, the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and RochesterWorks have officially announced a collaborative effort to enhance the Greater ROC Careers platform. The joint initiative aims to modernize the job board, expand its offerings, and deliver a more robust and user-friendly experience for both employers and job hunters throughout the Greater Rochester area.

With a refreshed look and updated features, the newly relaunched platform isn’t just getting a facelift—it’s being positioned as the region’s go-to digital employment hub. The partnership combines the Chamber’s extensive employer network with RochesterWorks’ hands-on career services, promising greater access to jobs and resources than ever before.

A Regional Job Board With Local Focus

Originally launched in 2021, Greater ROC Careers has already made a significant impact in the Finger Lakes Region. In just a few short years, more than 800 employers have joined the site, posting over 55,000 job openings. The platform functions like a national job board in terms of sophistication and technology, but it’s laser-focused on one thing: careers in the nine-county Greater Rochester area.

Now, with RochesterWorks as an official partner, Greater ROC Careers will serve as the primary job board at RochesterWorks’ three One-Stop Career Centers. This means that thousands of job seekers using those centers will be seamlessly integrated into the growing digital ecosystem.

“We are proud to partner with RochesterWorks on this important initiative and are excited to bring their vast network of employers and job seekers onto our existing platform,” said Bob Duffy, President & CEO of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce. “We are eager to build on the existing successes of Greater ROC Careers over the past four years and reach more employers and community members with an exciting and vibrant new brand. Through this joint effort, we will be able to maximize our impact and foster a more collaborative culture throughout our region.”

More Than Just Listings

This new partnership is about more than simply posting jobs. It’s about building a dynamic career ecosystem that works for everyone—entry-level workers, mid-career professionals, and employers alike. Job seekers visiting Greater ROC Careers can create an account to search for jobs, upload their resumes, set up email alerts for matching roles, and apply with just a few clicks.

Employers, meanwhile, can post jobs for free, browse talent profiles, and even receive notifications when candidates with specific qualifications register. For companies seeking a more automated approach, the site offers a monthly subscription feature that pulls listings directly from the employer’s own site and posts them daily.

A Holistic Approach to Workforce Development

What truly sets this platform apart is the combination of career listings and comprehensive support services. Job seekers can tap into professional development resources from RochesterWorks, connect directly with employers, and take part in training initiatives that prepare them for future opportunities.

On the employer side, the site provides a streamlined recruitment process, backed by RochesterWorks’ experience in workforce development. This means not only faster hiring but smarter hiring, with tools and insights to help companies find and retain the right talent.

The site now lives under the broader Greater ROC brand, a regional identity campaign that showcases the economic potential and community spirit of Rochester and its surrounding areas. The job board joins other Chamber-led initiatives like Greater ROC Relocate and Greater ROC Global, painting a fuller picture of why Rochester is a great place to live, work, and grow.
